Abstract:
The mechanisms that mediate the release of intracellular bacteria from cells are poorly understood particularly for those that livewithin a cellular vacuole. The release pathway of the obligateintracellular bacterium Chlamydia from cells is unknown.

Keywords:
extrusion lysis release

Materials & Methods:
HeLa 229 cells were plated on glass bottom culture dishes (MatTek Ashland MA) or 24-well plates and typically infected with Chlamydia diluted in Hanks’s balanced salt solution

Microscopic Technique
Fluorescence Microscopy
