Abstract:
The translocation of fluorescently taggedPLCgand requirements for this process in cells stimulatedwith EGF were analyzed using real time fluorescencemicroscopy applied for the first time to monitorgrowth factor receptor–effector interactions.

Materials & Methods:
A431 and COS-7 cells were cultured in DME supplemented with 10% FBS. The transfection of GFP or RFP fusion protein constructs were made using cells in a 60-mm dish (Nunc) a glass-bottomed 50-mm dish (MatTek Corporation) or on 22-mm-diameter coverslip
