Abstract:
Altered glutamatergic neurotransmission and calciumhomeostasis may contribute to retinal neural cell dysfunctionand apoptosis in diabetic retinopathy (DR). The purpose of thisstudy was to determine the effect of high glucose on theprotein content

Materials & Methods:
For Ca2 imaging studies cells were plated on 35-mm glass-bottomed culture dishes (MatTek; Ashland MA). The cells were maintained at 37°C in a humidified incubator with 5% CO2/air.
